project 08

My original scope of work on this house called for a kitchen remodel. After redesigning the layout, the existing kitchen was demolished and more windows were added to take advantage of the beautiful garden views. A popular sitting area was enhanced and it became the social hub of the house.

Shortly after the remodel was completed, a flood inundated the house. The brand-new kitchen had to be repaired and there was an opportunity to expand the scope of the work. I redesigned the living and family rooms, adding new built-in cabinetry, a new mantle, new interior furnishings, and a new color scheme. The home was transformed once again. My engagement with this client continues, as I move around the home, refreshing its look room-by-room. It is always a joy to come back to the spaces I designed and love.
