Josefa Buckingham Design is looking for an Interior Design Assistant with 2+ years experience in high-end residential design to add to our growing team. This is a part-time position, ideal for a detail-oriented person with a keen sense of design. This person enjoys working collaboratively with a small team and is interested in being trained to manage all aspects of our JBD office, with potential for growth.

Responsibilities

• Research, source and price furniture, fabric, accessories, finishes, lighting, and services 

• Create basic floor plans and elevations in AutoCAD or Revit

• Enter products into procurement software

• Place and track orders with vendors

• Create, maintain and distribute FF&E schedules

• Manage sample library at JBD HQ 

• Acquire and return samples as needed

• Inspect/log contents of packages, arrange for returns 

• Provide administrative support to the Principal and Senior Designer

Job Requirements

• Background or classwork in interior design

• Basic understanding of architectural concepts and plans

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Ability to think critically and problem-solve

• Familiarity with Houzz Pro, AutoCAD, and Google Suite

• Familiarity with the San Francisco Design Center showrooms and vendors

• Ability to work in-person at our studio in Ross 1-2 days a week

• Driver’s license and access to vehicle
