larkspur transitional
A pair of empty nesters bought this recently built home, which is situated like a treehouse deep in a Larkspur canyon. The home was designed by a developer and felt very sterile. They came to JBD with a request that we make it feel like a home. Mixing transitional and mid-century modern pieces, we sought to create a space to celebrate our client’s colorful style, yet respect the house’s architecture. Keeping to a tight color story in each space, JBD used pattern and texture to create depth to contrast with the expansive, light walls and angular geometry of the skylights and roofline.
